How to reduce race morning strees

1. If you live locally within the Durham Region area, take advantage of pre-race day registration at the Courtice Community Complex on Saturday August 21st from 1:00- 3:00. On that day kids can get their bib number, get body marked, receive their swim cap and parents sign race wavier. This afternoon will also give you time to meet the volunteers and ask any questions you may have about the race prior to race morning.

2. If you live locally get to Impala Cycles in Whitby and get your childs bike checked on the spot. Every bike must be checked whether it be at Impala's or on race morning. If you get the bike checked at Impala's before race day you do not have to line up on race morning to get it checked by Impala staff.

3. Arrive nice and early. Particulary if you have not done the items mentioned above. Generally speaking everyone should have arrived by no later than 7:30am.

4. If you child needs to change into a bathing suit the community centre will have all washrooms open along with the fitness centre.

5. Bring lawn chairs and an umbrella and some snacks.

6. There is time between heats but this give kids who have not already seen triathlon run before a great oppportunity to watch others in action.
